Where do develpers put their bioinformatic software to be easily available to public? Are there any universal repositories/databases? Thanks for the answers.

There is a growing body of Bioinformatics software on github

And you can also search the usual places like

• the R archive or bioconductor for R-specific packages.
• bioinformatics on sourceforge
• bioinformatics on google code
• bioinformatics on bitbucket
• the Bio package for python, perl , java, and others (including my favorite)
