I am very happy to announce an upcoming workshop, supported by COST - Seqahead on microRNA/long non-coding RNA bioinformatics
During the past few years non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), previously thought as transcriptional junk, have become a research goldmine. microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs and the other ncRNA sub-classes are implicated in practically all pathophysiological processes.
This course will provide specialized training on analysing NGS sequencing data (especially small RNA-Seq), identifying miRNA targets computationally or experimentally, selecting ncRNAs as biomarkers, as well as on identifying and making sense out of hundreds of ncRNA interactions.
Participants will have the opportunity for hands-on training in state-of-the-art pipelines and in performing real world analyses on published experimental data.
The workshop will host up to 25 trainees.
Participants can also apply for Scholarships which cover registration, travel expenses and accommodation.
