Hi,

I would like to sequence both host and pathogen RNA without rRNA depletion. Could anyone give me an approximate cost?

Thanks, Bernardo

Here is an example quote I have seen for 2 lanes (120 million reads per lane).

If I recall this correctly this was for 12 libraries in total, for 3 replicates x 4 samples

A)
Library Construction Materials 12 x $128 = $1536
Library Construction Labor 2 x $657 = $1314
HiSeq 150 x 150 paired end sequencing 2 (lanes) x $2708= $5416
Total = $8266

B)
Library Construction Materials 12 x $128 = $1536
Library Construction Labor 2 x $657 = $1314
HiSeq 100 x 100 paired end sequencing 2 (lanes) x $2072= $4144
Total = $6994

C)
Library Construction Materials 12 x $128 = $1536
Library Construction Labor 2 x $657 = $1314
HiSeq 75 x 75 paired end sequencing 2 (lanes) x $1844= $3688
Total = $6538

Hi Bernardo,

You can use Genohub.com to search for library prep, sequencing and bioinformatics analysis services, post questions to providers and start your project. I ran a search for 400 million reads (any read length) for you: https://genohub.com/shop-by-next-gen-sequencing-project/#query=663a12850a66148c21d27041fc5d09dc. You can enter the read length you desire using the filter in the left column. Don't mind the HiSeq X Ten packages (HiSeq X Ten is currently limited to sequencing whole human genomes). Prices on Nextseq 500 start at $2,750 for 400M reads (no library prep or data analysis). Click on one of the packages and begin your conversation with the provider offering it !
