Hi,

Anyone knows an easy way to get the number (and list) of genes expressed in a given tissue (i.e. adipose, heart...) for humans? I know I could download the human bodymap 2 data but this should be already done somewhere in a database right?

I tried browsing Biomart from Ensembl but could'nt find the attribute.

Thanks!

How about BioGPS

It has tissue wise gene expression measured from Affymetrix IVT arrays.

Apparently it only takes a few genes (I want the whole protein coding genome) and it would be best to have RNAseq data.
