Hi Everyone,

I am interested in getting the genomic sequence of SK1 strain of YEAST. Where can I get the fasta file for it. I can see that IGV has SK1 genome for yeast on their server (they also have sacCer3 which is easily available), but I could not find the genomic sequence. Could anyone help me finding the genomic sequence for it.

Thanks.

Here is the link http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/JRIH00000000

Click on WGS to get the fasta file. Hope this is the one you are looking for.

Hi Geek,

Thanks for the answer. I can see on IGV the chromosomes are in chr1, chr2..chrm but these are basically 451 contigs. Is there a fasta file for sk1 genome with chr1 chr2 .. chrm as contigs.

Thanks for the help

Regards
Varun
