how to execute mask filtering_algorithm

can anyone suggest the execution string for ,

-db_soft_mask filtering_algorithm  
-db_hard_mask filtering_algorithm

I tried the manual version but it didn't specify any masking algorithm ID and trying the id 30 gave me the error

BLAST options error: Masking algorithm ID 30 is not supported in nucleotide '/home/Desktop/ncbi-blast-2.2.30+/y-transcript/y-transcript' BLAST database

If so how to correct it
