I am a physician with a MPH in biostatis/epidemiology but without training in bioinformatics.

I am interested in taking information from 23andme and using that information to predict changes in metabolic pathways to better inform my patients. For example if you have a variant of a MTHFR, then I can insert that variant into a model that will then demonstrate what the effects are downstream in the metabolism of folate. Or that if I have less active CBS gene in the transsulfuration pathway, then I may need to augment with extra Vitamin B6 or find alternatives for generating cysteine or glutathione.

Any information or feedback into this would be a great help to me and my patients.

Thank you!

Brian
