Hi everyone,

I'm wanting to annotate my favourite genome using BRIG and after assigning my reference genome and then selecting my fasta file (same as reference), I add a second ring for genome annotation using a genbank file.

When I add the genbank file and run the program it gives me an error as follows:

"SYS_ERROR:org.xml.sax.SAXException: value for 'stop' attribute in featureRange element must be less than or equal to the length of the plasmid in null at line 11 column 42"

So i'm wondering if this is a problem I can fix in BRIG or do I need to edit the genbank file itself?

Any info you can provide will help. Ultimately I want to compare multiple genomes but right now I'm working on basics, compare a genome to itself with annotation

D
