Hi, Sarah. You should really consider finding and talking to a mentor for your research before posting to Biostars. Several questions you have been asking seem pretty basic and specific and are asked without context. It makes it difficult to give you good answers and I sense that you would benefit from talking with someone who knows what you are trying to do before you post.
