Hello!
I have short quastion: is it possible to detect such mutation (rs72549438) with snp array such as illumina omni array? I am embarassed by the fact that this deletion will actually not result in sequence change since their is a repeat in case of using 3' flanking zonde and i doubt that using 5' zonde will be possible.

Thanks in advance

If it is on the array then yes. You would have to look into the manifests or design files for particular arrays (or contact Illumina, Affymetrix, etc) to see if it is designed on any of their platforms. Are you specifically looking for this mutation or do you mean just this type of deletion in general? In general you are right, they tend to be harder to pick up with arrays.
