How to read and display content of LIF file containing multiple images using EBImage

I am new to R and EBImage. Is it possible to open LIF files with many images using EBImage and navigate through/display each of the images?

EBimage currently only works with TIFF, PNG and JPEG file formats. I suppose that by LIF file you mean Leica's image file format. For all your bio-image file format needs, I suggest you use the Bio-Formats library. You can also try the imgcnv utility from UCSB but I don't know if it supports LIF.

EDIT: There's now an R interface to Bio-Formats: RBioFormats that you can use with EBImage.
