Dear all,

After sequencing step completion, I demultiplexed the sequencing data using bcl2fastq program. I got the below barcode statistics based on lanes.

N in control refers to the sample.

Yield refers to "the sum of all bases in clusters that passed filtering for the entire project.

  1. I don't understand clearly. But I could see some relation between yield and reads (9,989 Mbases, 98,901,978 reads) Can anyone explain it clearly?
  2. What could be the reason for very low yield value for WN34?

Yield in illumina sequencing terminology refers to the total number of bases (nucleotides) sequenced per sequencing run or per lane. (https://help.basespace.illumina.com/articles/descriptive/run-summary/)
