Does anyone have any recommendations for an open source that allows for data visualization or pathway analysis; specific for transcriptome sequencing?

Cytoscape with plugins

There are many tools to do that. Very easy and most informative are various cytoscape plugins. I would recommend 2 plugins named Bingo and EnrichmentMap. You can also generate some nice images using kegg online tool. It will give you various pathway images as per your geneset.
