We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated Senior Bioinformatics Officer to provide support for our ongoing molecular profiling and Next-Generation Sequencing projects within the Endocrinology Team, and to build on existing collaborations with other groups within the UK and internationally. The post will also include some activities within the Bioinformatics core allowing exposure to multiple projects within the Centre and the development of state of the art analysis pipelines.

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject and experience in analysing complex data sets is essential preferably from human studies in oncology. Extensive programming experience and understanding of the UNIX/Linux environment is required. A mathematical and/or statistical background would be a distinct advantage, however, biologists trained in high level bioinformatics are equally welcome to apply.

The appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract and will be available for a period of two years in the first instance. The full salary scale is in the range of £42,796 to £57,900 p.a. inclusive; starting salary will be based upon relevance of skills and experience.
