Hello,

Not sure if it's right place to ask, but I will try.

I'm reading old patent. Is there any database where I can find if specific mutation in a gene is spanned by amplicon?

For example: gene ERBB3, mutations - C2024T and G2193A

I would appreciate any hint.

Is there any other database, something like COSMIC?

The problem is that I don't get this nomenclature of mutations (C2024T and G2193A). I want to find the position of these mutations.

(They are in a gene ERBB3). Sorry for silly questions.

The nomenclature refers to the protein sequence position so

C2024T means that a Cysteine in position 2024 of the protein is mutated to a Threonine.

You can view codon numbers in UCSC

If you know the specific mutation, can't you just use the UCSC in silico PCR tool?
