I assembled two fungi (Candida sp. and Metschinkowia sp.) from PacBio data.

I have a few contigs more than I expect. By finding the telomeres and centromeres I hope to get more insights how many chromosomes I realy have to expect. I was alredy able to find some of the telomeres by identifying repetitive structures at the ends of the contigs.

Nevertheless; Do you know tools to identify telomeres and/or centromeres in fungi/eukaryotes?

Just check whether TelSeq tool helps. Also check recent article about Telomere length in different cancer samples.

For other organisms read this.
