PostDoctoral Researcher - Text mining

Specific responsibilities include:

Build and update lexical and semantic resources to describe neuroscientific data from mining the scientific literature Build automated and semi-automated curation workflows leveraging existing tools, to accelerate the extraction and curation of information about neurons, brain regions and disease from the literature Develop and extend SciGraph annotation service to suggest ontological annotations for experimental methods Integrate OpenMinTed text mining tools and infrastructure to support the development of curation and knowledge integration workflows Lead and manage the collaboration with OpenMinTeD consortium Implement best-practices for maintainable software development, including but not limited to: continuous integration, documentation, adherence to and improvement of coding standards

Experience and preferred skills:

Expertise in NLP and processing large volumes of textual information Expertise in Python and Java Experience with UIMA framework Agile software development, testing

Profile:

PhD degree in NLP or equivalent Strong communications and problem solving skills Excellent written and spoken English. French would be a plus
