Hi, I am looking for the database(s) which shows gene-gene interactions in human. Please consider the mean of "gene-gene interaction" is different from "protein-protein interaction". Indeed,a genetic interaction between two genes generally indicates that the phenotype of a double mutant differs from what is expected from each individual mutant. Genetic interactions are classified as negative when the phenotype of double mutants is significantly worse than expected from that of single mutants, and positive when the phenotype of double mutants is significantly better than that expected from the single mutants.

It was discussed several years ago in biostars.org

Gene - Gene Interaction Database?

Hopefully some databases from the post are still alive.

These are some new articles:

https://genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13059-015-0772-4

it discusses gene-gene interaction (GGI) networks

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3215301/

It is cited by the following 37 Articles:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3215301/citedby/

Most of these papers discuss epistatic interactions in genetic association studies.

I will cite Larry Parnell from the first post: "A gene-gene interaction is when genetic variations or markers in two different

and distinct loci contribute together to a phenotype. A variant in one gene without the second does not give the

phenotype. This is also called epistasis". So these 37 citations do make sense, but very few if any databases are

mentioned there.

The following site may be also useful:

I'll add to this that if you're interested in experimental interactions, you could also look for combinatorial RNAi screens e.g. this paper.

Thanks a lot Natasha, but I am looking for a database to give one gene and see the genes which show gene-gene interaction with the given gene.

BioGRID (http://thebiogrid.org/) shows gene-gene interaction not only in human but also in other species. I will complete this list when I found more database.
