I am new to the topic of mArray analysis. I observed some microarray data from Array Express. https://www.ebi.ac.uk/arrayexpress/experiments/E-GEOD-30321/

There, log2 RMA signal intensities are provided. First, I calculated the antilogarithm. Now I want to define a threshold for signficantly expressed genes. Meaning, genes with RMA values lower than the threshold are to be removed from the list.

What is a considerable RMA threshold value for significantly expressed genes?

I found in an affymetrix tech document, that 20% quantile are used as threshold value.
