Job Description
We currently have a great opportunity for a Bioinformatician to join a team of scientists responsible for the research, development, and optimization of our diagnostic products. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a collaborative research environment and to contribute to the innovative work for our product development.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manipulate large genomic sequence data for genomic research purposes.
- Perform bioinformatic analyses of experimental data produced by massively parallel next generation sequencing.
- Conduct data mining over internally produced and publicly available data sets.
- Collaborate with other scientists including computer scientists, statistician, cancer biologist and oncologists. Requirements
- Master or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field; Multidisciplinary experience preferred.
- Understanding of the complexities of biological data and genomic annotation.
- Experience in computational analysis of cancer evolution and research in genetic intra-tumor heterogeneity are highly desired.
- Experience in computational biology/bioinformatics such as biological sequence analysis and analysis of next-generation sequencing data are preferred.
- Knowledge of human genetics, statistics, algorithms and exploratory data analyses are favored.
- Fluency in programming and scripting languages is desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are plus.
