Direct comparison of epitope-tagged vs endogenous (ChIP-seq)

Is anyone aware of any papers which have a direct comparison of epitope-tagged vs endogenous for ChIP-seq?

I've noticed that people frequently tag histones in experiments and I'm not convinced that this is a good strategy. I'm trying to find out if this method has been properly validated.
