The Bryder laboratory (http://www.med.lu.se/labmedlund/molecular_hematology/investigator_profiles/david_bryder) invites applications for a Postdoctoral position at the Division for Molecular Hematology at Lund University, Sweden.

We focus on trying to understand the formation of blood cells in both normal and malignant (leukemic) contexts. The fellow will work on new and ongoing projects and the work will involve analysis of several different types of next-generation sequencing data, including but not limited to single-cell RNA-sequencing data, genomic DNA sequencing and applications involving design and assessment of CRISPR/Cas9-based genome-editing strategies. Involvement in generation of samples and teaching/supervision of students is also possible depending on requirements of the projects and interests of the candidate.

Successful candidates should be proficient in bioinformatics and statistics, including knowledge of relevant scripting and at least some prior background in analysis of NGS data. Excellent communication skills and a high level of motivation is required. Good spoken and written English is required.

If you are interested in the position, you are encouraged to make an informal enquiry to David Bryder, david.bryder@med.lu.se.
