Hi community!

I was wondering if using the Panther HMMs (that corresponds to protein domains and are available on InterProScan local file) is possible to apply directly hmmscan in order to look for protein domains on a amino acids fasta sequences. The problem is that the raw hidden Markov profiles (*.hmm) are in a binary format, so is not possible to use it with HMMer (let's say hmmscan or hmmpress). There is any strategy to convert it from binary format to ascii?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions and help!

The solution was downloading directly the ascii file from: ftp://ftp.pantherdb.org/panther_library/current_release/PANTHER11.1_ascii.tgz
