Reporting to: CEO, CTO.
We are looking for a bioinformatician to join our growing team. We are a tight knit team of professionals that love working together. Your work will stand out and will make a substantial contribution to the success of our company and clients. You’ll have exposure to international projects and clients and you will grow with the company (position and salary).
Your responsibilities
- Project planning and scheduling to validate specific aspects of our products
- Consulting in the selection or definition of appropriate reference material
- Contributing to a data infrastructure and automation of analyses
- Assessing the accuracy of genomic measurements
- Identify points and means of quality improvement
- Documenting and communicating the results

- Excellent communication, attention to detail and organisational skills
Desired technical qualifications
We value the ability to learn fast more than specific experience. That being said, the ideal candidate should have the following:
- Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Bioinformatics with 2+ years of working experience in industry and academia.
- Expertise in examining private clinical data and genetic data. Candidate should be able to highlight interesting patterns in the datasets
- Programming skills in C++, Python, R, and Java, because our existing codebase uses all these languages
- Experience with Amazon AWS for automated and scalable deployment (for example: Vagrant, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Ability to write low-level C code to optimize the performance of the algorithms
- Experience in designing scientific applications with a mobile front end for data visualization
- Familiarity with biological data repositories such as the UCSC Genome Browser, NCBI, 1000 genomes, COSMIC, TCGA.
