Dear All, I am a geneticist and I would like to perform Go Enrichment analysis using BINGO in Cytoscape. I have used Go_full database that was already included in BINGO package. However, according to BINGO software developers, it has not been updated since 2014. When I tried to analyse our sets of genes in BINGO, the enrichment analysis did not work. I am suspecting that this is due to using a old database. I really appreciate it, if you could help in this by finding the latest version of GO term database for Human genes. Thanks much
What do you mean by ' the enrichment analysis did not work' ? If you didn't get any kind of result with a two years-old ontology, I think it's unlikely that a more recent one will give you better results. Often, absence of result has a methodological cause, such as too stringent corrections for multiple testing.
Latest version of the ontologies and annotations are available in the download section of the Gene Ontology website. You can use these with BINGO according to its documentation.
