Biolinks - TCGAAnalyze_Preprocessing

I am finding a lot of functionality in the R package TCGA Biolinks.

I problem I am having with one command is that I really don't understand what it is doing. I run it and everything goes beautifully. I've read the vignettes. I've browsed the internet. I get that it removes outliers - but what does it remove specifically? 1st/4th quartile values?
