On March 18, a method describing "estimation of the proportion of disease heritability mediated by the cis-genetic component of assayed gene expression levels" was described. The manuscript can be found here http://biorxiv.org/content/early/2017/03/18/118018?rss=1 .
Granted the evidence of transgenerational epigenetic inheritance it is logical that there are many of reviews, manuscripts, etc. speculating that a proportion of the missing heritability of complex diseases can be explained in this way.
However, I have been unable to find a manuscript attempting to quantify epigenetic missing heredity in the context of complex disease. Is anyone aware of such a method?
