Hello all,

Does anyone have advice on how to adjust the ACT zoom features so the genome, and the comparison sequence are both visible? I have to zoom all the way out to just make the genome and colored blocks visible in a single image, but it just makes the comparison sequence a mini, unrecognizable slit at the bottom. I've fiddled a lot with the zoom features too... but no luck. I'm using Bio Linux if that helps... please let me know if more information is needed to help.

You want to compare a short sequence to a genome via ACT?

As far as I'm aware you can't do this, as you'd have a different 'scale' for the 2 different sequences. All you're able to adjust is the overall zoom, the alignment threshold, and the panning of each sequence either independently or together,

If you want to show where certain features align on a genome, maybe consider something like EasyFig or BRIG. If the feature you're looking at is really small relative to a genome though you're going to struggle to visualise that with anything really I would think..
