Hello Everyone, At present I have been encountered a problem.I have two files (file1 and file2), I want to use the file2 gene name to filter the file1 transcript ID which are correspond to the gene name.lastly substitute the file2 gene names using the transcript ID.such as this:

file1:

gene_name transcript_ID

SV.1.1 Seita.1G000100.2.v2.2

SV.2.2 Seita.1G000200.1.v2.2

SV.2.3 Seita.1G000200.2.v2.2

SV.4.1 Seita.1G000300.1.v2.2

file2:

gene_name value

SV.2.3 23.00

SV.4.1 0.50

which I wanted file like this :file3

gene_name value

Seita.1G000200.2.v2.2 23.00

Seita.1G000300.1.v2.2 0.50

Thanks

Alex
