Dear fellows, I am following a paper entitled “Comparative Genomics Analysis of Mycobacterium ulcerans for the Identification of Putative Essential Genes and Therapeutic Candidates” I have tried several time to contact with the author but I don't get any reply then I post here. I firstly retrieve the non-host protein and then the essential genes by using blastp but now I have to find out the strand bias of this using ori-finder but Q1: (it accepts only nucleotide sequence while I hv the AA seq.) secondly while trying to find out CAI(codon adaptation index) tools mostly wht i come across accept nucleotide sequence and the third question is I have to identify non-host essential protein for which I have to take common from non-host protein & essential genes now the main concerned is they take common on the basis of uniprot ids while in my case non-host ids are in this format (ABO10519.1,ABO10921.1) and esential genes ids are I this format(WP_000005669.1 WP_000007331.1) how should I take common and how they have uniprot ids in both there files.
