Very interesting article about NGS, downstream data analysis and benefits to biomedical research and healthcare, covering several start-up companies.

Please find the article on page 22 of this pdf

This looks still suspicious, account is temporarily suspended because of suspicious voting pattern.

Protocol:

  • User posts first post, and receives 4 upvotes almost immediately
  • post deleted for looking suspicious/spam
  • User receives comment from senior moderator that links looks suspicious
  • Instead of responding to comment first, re-posts, receives 6 upvotes within seconds
  • user suspended

As a moderator you can not see who up-voted it and how much time it took to have 6 up-votes?

If i watch the post I can see the upvotes appear right after the post was posted.

No we can't see anything. Only "site admins" may.

Actually, I directly up-voted the link today, since my company is part of the article and I recognized the title when it popped up in front of me.

I have one question: Since you directly closed the first post, can Paul see your comment and/or respond to it?

Did you just suspend his account and asked him afterwards to reply?

I got a link to this article on twitter some days ago and it does not look like spam. It's an overview about the usage of NGS in biomedical research. Besides Pine Biotech, there are several other companies named and no one is favoured. I actually just upvoted this post right before you closed it, since I liked reading it. But in the end it's your decision to close it.

I just wanted to add my two cents. :)

If the article contained information about several companies there was no need to single one out in the description that accompanied the article link.

Good point, changed it a little.

Sorry if this was a legit post, however I left the user time to respond first because the flash link looked crappy.

Instead the post appeared again, without any further explanation. My policy is, if it looks like spam, it is possibly not worth keeping the post. The post fell short of convincing me that it was not spam, so I deleted it.

Hi Paul,

I have re-opened your post. Next time, please take your time to write something substantial in your own post so it does not look like spam.
