Hello everyone

I am currently working with Solid sequencing data and prior to the alignment phase I wish to convert my genome into colorspace format. I know this route is preferable over converting the color-space reads into base-space. I have found recommendations for the use of the encodeFasta.py function through the Carona_Lite software. However, when I attempt to download this software through [removed link] I am unsuccessful. Would anyone be able to direct me to an alternative site to download it from or another tool which can achieve the same results.

Many thanks

The site you linked is a source of cracked, pirated (and possibly infected with malware) software, so I removed the link.

You can download SOLiD Software, a suite of tools for data processing and analysis of SOLiD data - should have an aligner. Contact ThermoFisher customer support in case you have problems.

And Bowtie can map reads in colorspace, in case you need an alternative.
