We are seeking to appoint a research database engineer to join our expanding bioinformatics team at the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR) (http://www.cvr.ac.uk/).
You will be involved in the development of a database resource for the research outputs from the HCV Research UK clinical network (http://www.hcvresearchuk.org/).

The postholder will have a key role in the specification, design and construction of the database resource and will have a high level of overall responsibility for the project.
The post would particularly suit an individual looking to acquire experience in software design, to gain skills with a wide range of software technologies and to gain experience in software project management in an academic research environment. The post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding up to 31 October 2019.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Prof John McLauchlan, Director of the HCV Research UK Biorepository and co-chair of HCV Research UK (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org).
