Hi all, I have been provided an RNA-Seq data where I have to look for the miRNA/isomiRs with gender dependency. Although after applying DESeq I was able to get some isomiRs but I want to check on the miRNAs which are Y linked as theirs' isomiRs would hopefully be expressing exclusively with male samples. But in the RNA-Seq data , I found no miRNAs linked to Y chromosomes whereas the study involves males and female samples. Is that possible? or something is wrong with data? or just the poor annotation?Sorry might sound foolish but I am confused with this.
