Has anyone does NGS on DNA extracted from Food products to identify the species? using MISEQ Nextera XT Lib perp?I am looking for generating a pipeline for analysis. Please let me know some suggestions thanks Asha

I assume you are referring to identification of bacterial species (and the not actual food itself). Here are a couple of papers on this topic. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Yes, we need the actual food itself. Actually we need to know the contents in food products or herbal extracts. For example if it is a beef sausage, we want to look at what else is there apart from Beef. what percentage of any other meat in it??

Perhaps someone with expertise in this area would be along with a more specific answer but NGS may be an overkill for estimation of meat contamination. You may be better served by PCR.
