How much time taken in Genome index generate if I have 8GB RAM ? what is exact command to generate genome index?

What is genome size? STAR requires 30+G RAM with human sized genomes.

Basic genome index generation command is shown in Section 2.1 of STAR manual.

Genome size is 4.5 GB. How much time take if have 8GB RAM?

Hard to estimate time since it would depend on hardware you have but should take around an hour or so.
