Hello, I look for a local web BLAST server which I could set up for our group. Is there any which support to submit jobs and when the results ready is the user gets an email notification?

Thank you in advance

Came across this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4769840/ You can also use Galaxy or make something yourself from skretch.

It is not clear which OS platform you're using but you can always use mail on the Linux/Unix environment.

Are you planning to run those blast jobs on a cluster, if so you usually can configure your cluster jobs to send a mail when the job is finished.

Implementing it in a galaxy (it will even be already available in the galaxy tool shed I assume) as suggested by gb is another option

It doesn't email but I've found sequence server to be very useful as a local blast server.

I also wrote one that runs on R-shiny to which you could easily add the mail tool from Sej Modha's comment. Just change the output to a txt and send that as the mail message.
