Hi,

I have found several demonstrations that ribosome profiling correlates stronger to protein levels than transcriptomics in higher organisms. A few of many examples:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4460968/ https://www.illumina.com/documents/products/appnotes/appnote_riboseq.pdf

I have yet to find a paper comparing technologies to mass spectrometry in E. coli, for example. Is it well established that ribosome profiling is a better proxy for protein levels than rna-seq in bacteria? I am specifically looking for Pearson's R comparing the two to mass spec. Any general knowledge or citation comparing the three technologies would be much appreciated!
