JOB TITLE: Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology

RESEARCH GOAL:
To utilize advanced imaging technology, clinical phenotyping and whole exome sequencing in a high through-put manner to perform genome-phenome correlations, disease risk prediction and correlation to outcomes.
CURRENT FOCUS:
- To correlate cardiac imaging endophenotypes to genomic correlates from whole exome sequencing data.
- Present disease focus on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and familial hypercholesterolemia.
CLINICAL AND RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT:
- Work in a team comprised of clinicians, imaging and genomics researchers
- Multisite image acquisition.
- Over 100,000 whole exome sequences and growing.
- Over 15 years of clinical follow up in EMR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD preferred with a background in Bioinformatics, biological sciences, genomics OR
- MD, with an interest in genomics or cardiovascular imaging
