Bioinformatics position available immediately at Northwestern University in the Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Urology and Biochemistry. The selected candidate will play a critical role in cancer biology studying genetic, epigenetic, and immune mechanisms of cancer and translational research. Research in our group is focused on basic science(cancer cell lines), mouse models and human cancers with multiple projects involving next-generation sequencing investigating tumor heterogeneity. The applicant should have experience with differential gene expression analysis from RNA-Seq and ideally interested in variant/mutation analysis, and epigenetics (ChiP-seq and ATAC-Seq). Interest in single-cell transcriptomics a plus. Desired programming languages include R and Python. We highly value curious, hard-working scientists that are good team players.

Minimum qualifications include a BS and experience in bioinformatics with independent research. Preferred qualifications include Individuals with MS or PhD. Post-doctoral candidates are also welcome. Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to submit publications, work on a team, as well as gain access to human trial specimens that will contribute to the next generation of cancer therapies.
