I've been given a sequence to analyse I've determined the longest ORF amino acid sequence, and done a blast to see similar proteins of that sequence.

I now want to compare domains of my longest ORF amino acid sequence and the most similar protein. I planned to use Pfam to search for similar domains but you can only insert for accession numbers which I don't have for my longest ORF. I have one for my protein I want to compare it with, so I could use Pfam for that.

How would I identify domains from only an amino acid sequence with no accession number

(Apologies if this is a basic question i'm fairly new to bioinformatics)

Thank you :)

Think I've gone to proceed with the use of https://prosite.expasy.org/ in comparing domains.
