Hello everyone,

I have been given the task of trying to develop a genome scale metabolic models and carry out FBA for some bacterial strains we have had sequenced and assembled. I'm not a bioinformatician by training so very much starting from a basic level on how to do this. My understanding of the best approach for this has been to take a genome assembly, upload to modelSeed for annotation, and to then take the SBML file from this and use COBRApy to analyse the reactions, create pathway/gene deletions etc and to perform the FBA. But are there any really good working example tutorials on doing this? I know COBRA/COBRApy has a lot of documentation but I find these fairly difficult to follow and would really find useful doing a step by step process. Something that a total beginner can follow with ease and see some data nicely output. Anyone know of any good resources and tutorials?

Thanks!
