Forum:"+1" button unavailable for answers on mobile?

For comments the like or "+1" button is available both on mobile and desktop while for answers this "+1" button is not available on mobile (even though "desktop version" is ticked on the web browser of a mobile device).

Is it on purpose?

A new version of Biostars is expected to be released some time this year. The current version not likely to change.
