- SelfDecode.com - We analyze people's DNA (over 15,000 users so far) and symptoms and give them health recommendations based on their DNA that are simple and easy to understand using our custom-built algorithms.
- LabTestAnalyzer.com - Provides high-quality, science-backed information and lifestyle, diet, and supplement recommendations based on lab test results.
We are very selective in our process because we look for a very long-term, full time partnership with our employees.
We try to keep the process as short as possible, so that we don't waste anyone's time. We've designed our tests and procedures so that if someone doesn't score above a certain threshold for a given segment, they are booted from the application process early. Job Type and Pay:
We are looking for a talented Geneticist to perform analyses that will advance the understanding of human genetics and shape SelfDecode’s consumer product. Pay will be in accordance with abilities and experience.
- Full-time.
- Position is remote.

Required Duties, Skills, and Experiences:
- Leverage existing methods and tools to analyze large amounts of data
- Work collaboratively with the Research, Development, and Product teams and provide scientific support to a variety of teams across the company
- Consult with patients
- Oversee genetics content
- Write clearly about complex topics
- Extensive knowledge of the health industry
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills
- Self-motivation and discipline to regularly set and achieve work goals
- Ph.D. in Human Genetics or a related field
- Experience analyzing whole-genome sequence data; experience analyzing ancient DNA sequence data is a plus
- Strong background in statistical and/or machine learning approaches
- Ability to work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently within a cross-functional context
- Excellent organizational skills to drive project success
