I have followed instructions at the SEED page, when calling myrast get:

How to fix that and how to call MyRAST 32 and -64 from the command line?

You could crack open those perl files and see what is might be tripping the error at those lines (if you have not already). I see there is an ubuntu specific distribution, you could try that. Linux mint looks nice but Ubuntu is so popular that googling errors is usually much easier.

It appears you have two accounts, this one bioinformatics_kiev and bioinf_ukraine, both with @aol domains and asking myrast questions. Is there a reason for it?

Yes, and I know the reason very well :)
