How to combine expression and mutations data of patients?

Dear all, is there a method to combine and analyse expression data and mutation data with respect to the survival of patients? Our goal is to find a subpopulation of our cohort that either lives longer or shorter than the rest of the patients. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Raphael

You could stratify patients by mutation status, and then do survival separately for Mutation and WT. In each survival analysis, you could test High|Mid|Low expression.

---------------------------

Alternatively, you could have, as your survival formula:

Surv(Days, PFS) ~ CXCL12:MutationStatus

[PFS = progression free survival]

In the case where you encode your gene's expression, CXCL12, as High|Mid|Low expression, and where MutationStatus is Mutation or WT, 6 curves / lines will be drawn on the resulting plot.

Take a look at what I do here for an idea: Survival analysis with gene expression
