One postdoctoral position is available at the prof. Kil To Chong lab (Electronics and Information Engineering, Chonbuk National University, Jeonju, South Korea).
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate with a background in machine learning, systems pharmacology, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, or related fields. The candidate would work to integrate deep learning with pharmacology. The project involves the design of deep neural networks for the prediction of small molecule binding activities and their role in phenotypic screens.
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Chemical Informatics, Computational Biology, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning/statistical learning is required. Prior evidence of productivity, creativity, and passion for drug discovery is expected. Excellent communication skills in English are desirable. Proficiency in using R and Python is preferred.
- Desired, but not strictly required, skills include experience with theano, lasagne/Keras, TensorFlow, pandas, rdkit, and sklearn. - Expertise with CUDA and/or massive dataset analysis (e.g., NoSQL, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Salary: 2,500,000 KRW.
In addition, based on the performance, the candidate can be promoted to a tenure track.
