Segmentation method in CNV

I was searching for other methods of segmentation in Copy number variation and i was wondering if i can use swarm optimization as a method of segmentation to detect gain,loss in exomes.if this method can work?

Why 're-invent the wheel', i.e., do something that has already been done? The 'proven' methods are Hidden Markov Model - based methods, and Circular Binary Segmentation (CBS). You can use your time as you please, however, there are probably >100 CNV programs already in existence.
