I'm a software developer who has been tasked with creating CWLs and an API to communicate with cromwell, send and monitor jobs, ect.

I would like to be able to point my application to a folder, then generate an input file (or several) for a given CWL with the files that exist in that folder.

Is there a tool that does this already?

Quick note: looks like your tags got combined into a single tag :-) Maybe add commas?

Hello waleed.a.osman,

The CWL reference runner, cwltool, has a --make-template option that may be useful to you. Run it like this:

cwltool --make-template /path/to/cwl/description and then customize the output with the desired parameters and file paths.
