Hello! Please tell me how to connect the version of the annotation Ensemble 3.96 (new) to Snpeff. I was unable to edit the correct snpEffect.config, according to the instructions from the site (http://snpeff.sourceforge.net/SnpEff_manual.html#buildAddConfig ).

Maybe the problem is that since 2017(http://snpeff.sourceforge.net/index.html) it seems the program has not been updated at all?

Does anyone have experience using SnpeFF now with up-to-date annotation versions?

Thanks you

Thank you, but when I download the latest version

wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/snpeff/files/snpEff_latest_core.zip

there is the exact same version for 2017? Sorry, I can’t figure out how to install the latest version, and also the new version is not installed.

Contact the developer. It looks like you would have to compile the GitHub code if you want to run that, but why would you? The version on GitHub could be unstable.
